Several CDI faculty members were among the seven Michigan Institute for Clinical & Health Research (MICHR) Distinguished Clinical & Translational Research Mentor Award Honorees for 2023. The award, established in 2012, seeks to recognize faculty who "foster the intellectual, creative, scholarly, and professional growth their students, fellows, and trainees in the areas of clinical and translational health research."
Among the honorees were:
- Michael D. Fetters, MD, MPH, MA: Professor of Family Medicine; Director of the Mixed Methods Program; and Director of the Japanese Family Health Program Education and Research, Medical School.
- Gretchen Piatt, PhD, MPH: Professor and Vice Chair of Learning Health Sciences, Medical School, Co-director of the Michigan Center for Diabetes Translational Research
- Amy E. Rothberg, MD, DABOM: Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology and Diabetes, Department of Internal Medicine, Medical School; Professor of Nutritional Sciences, School of Public Health and Director of the University of Michigan Weight Management Program.
- Lonnie D. Shea, PhD: Steven A. Goldstein Collegiate Professor of Biomedical Engineering, College of Engineering and Medical School; Professor of Chemical Engineering, College of Engineering; and Professor of Surgery, Medical School.
