Faculty Positions in Pharmacology and Diabetes/Obesity/Metabolism

The Department of Pharmacology and Caswell Diabetes Institute (CDI) at the University of Michigan Medical School invites applications for tenure-track or tenured faculty positions at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor levels. We seek outstanding colleagues whose research defines and addresses cutting-edge questions in any area of pharmacology, with focused interests related to diabetes (Type 1 or Type 2), obesity, metabolism, and/or the complications of these diseases, to join our inclusive and richly collaborative community that prioritizes both transformative science and training the next generation of scientific leaders. Successful candidates will be part of a vibrant interdisciplinary environment with interests that span a wide range of fundamental questions and experimental systems. Qualifications include a Ph.D. and/or M.D., a strong record of research accomplishments, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion in the biomedical sciences, and the ability to direct independently funded research programs.

Applications should include a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a research statement (up to 3 pages), a teaching statement (1 page), a summary of commitment to and plans for creating a diverse and inclusive scientific environment (1 page), and contact information including the email address of three references.
