Biography

The Goforth Lab investigates the mechanisms by which the brain integrates information from periphery to regulate physiology and behavior. We focus on neural circuits in the hypothalamus and hindbrain that control feeding, energy balance, motivation, and mood. A central goal of the lab is to understand how dysregulation of these circuits contributes to obesity, substance use disorder, anxiey and depression.
